Job summary

TotalEnergies is seeking an on-site HSE Lead to oversee health, safety, and environmental governance across active wind project construction in the United States. The role emphasizes field presence, contractor oversight, and proactive safety culture under MAESTRO standards.

You will lead HSE activities, conduct audits, review plans and JHAs, and support regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and hands-on safety expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of HSE experience on construction projects, preferably wind energy.
• OSHA 30 (Construction) certification required; wind-specific training preferred.
• Experience overseeing EPC and subcontractor Safety Management Systems.
• Hands-on experience with working-at-heights programs and fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all HSE activities for wind project construction, including turbine erection, heavy lifts, crane operations, electrical work, and BOP activities.
• Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance with MAESTRO standards, contractual HSE requirements, and regulations.
• Review, validate, and approve HSE documentation (plans, JHAs, lift plans, method statements).
• Conduct site audits, inspections, field verifications; track findings and close corrective actions.
• Monitor HSE KPIs and report to project leadership; support incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
