Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic to perform in-field repairs on various brands of heavy equipment.

You will diagnose issues, order parts, and document work while maintaining company assets and communicating professionally with customers and colleagues. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least two years of field experience, the ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of continuous experience diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Fluent communication in English, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Furnish and maintain a set of tools and any specialty tools required by the company.

Responsibilities

• Performs field repairs and maintenance with little or no direct supervision.
• Diagnoses equipment problems and performs repairs following established guidelines and flat rates.
• Orders parts, writes technical reports, and maintains accurate service documentation.
• Keeps the service truck clean and in good working condition; completes safety inspections.
• Attends factory and manufacturer training as directed by supervisor.
