Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic to perform in-field repairs on various brands of heavy equipment.

The role involves diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, and maintaining company assets while delivering quality work with minimal supervision. This position requires a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to read hydraulics/electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Two (2) years of continuous experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Furnish and maintain a set of tools and any specialty tools required by the company.
• Ability to work overtime, stay overnight, and work on weekends when needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs field repairs and maintenance with little or no direct supervision.
• Diagnoses and evaluates problems with equipment and makes repairs using established guidelines.
• Plans methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs.
• Keeps rework within established guidelines.
• Maintains the service truck in good working condition and cleanliness.
• Completes daily, monthly, and annual safety and vehicle inspections.
