Job summary

Geotab is seeking a Field Hardware Technician who will support GO Focus pilots by validating, configuring, testing and troubleshooting camera and telematics hardware at customer sites, collecting reliable training data for AI models.

You will travel approximately 70% of the time, including internationally, and collaborate with Geotab's Video development team, Field Service, third-party installers, and resellers to ensure pilots work as intended.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel ~70% internationally/US/Canada.
• Experience with vehicle electrical systems or automotive electronics.
• Ability to use handheld tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Validate and troubleshoot Geotab Video hardware on site.
• Configure, test, and calibrate camera/telematics systems.
• Collect data for training AI models.
• Support pilots from pre-pilot to closeout.
• Record field findings with clear evidence.
• Coordinate with customers, installers, and teams.
• Follow safety and data privacy requirements.
