Job summary

Geotab Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Hardware Engineer to lead field hardware response and pilot enablement for Geotab Video.

You will own enterprise pilot support from pre-install readiness through pilot close, and you will handle advanced onsite installation issues across power, calibration, mounting and connectivity. You will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver new AI-driven behaviors, plan field data collection, and mentor junior technicians while maintaining repeatable field

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Post-secondary diploma/degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or Automotive Technology.
Proven experience diagnosing and resolving vehicle hardware, electrical, installation and telematics issues in field environments.
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, wiring, power management and safety practices.
Familiarity with camera systems, telematics devices, GPS and connectivity.
Excellent troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead field hardware response and pilot enablement programs for Geotab Video.
Provide advanced onsite installation troubleshooting (power, calibration, mounting, connectivity).
Plan and manage enterprise pilot support from pre-install readiness to close.
Coordinate cross-functional programs to deliver new AI behaviors.
Mentor junior technicians and provide status updates to leadership.
Create installation guides, diagnostic procedures, and field reports.
Collaborate with Vision, Hardware, Product, Customer Success, Support, Sales and Engineering teams.
