Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Springfield, MA seeks a Groundsperson to support the crew by clearing brush from the ground and performing site clean-up after tasks. You will operate hand tools, assist with equipment, and help maintain safety and order on job sites.

Qualifications

• Must possess physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs and use equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Must be able to hear verbal instructions and communicate with the team.
• Must obtain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Driver’s license required if hired for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Clear brush and trees from ground using hand tools.
• Load/unload logs and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs and flag traffic when needed.
• Operate trucks and other equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance and report major repairs.
