Job summary

Pearce, a technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions, seeks a Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on telecom towers in the region. The role suits independent self-starters who are willing to travel.

You will work with safety standards, respond to alarms, and perform maintenance, installations, wiring, and testing. The position requires physical work, on-call readiness, and ability to drive long distances.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of generator maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical components.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations (FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Maintaining generators, diagnosing problems, replacing components or entire systems, and performing upgrades on equipment.
• Conducting checks and maintenance to ensure readiness, following blueprints or specifications to install or repair.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and test for proper operation.
• Responding promptly to alarms; on-call 24/7 if necessary and handling phone and email communications.
• Work safely around power equipment, attend safety meetings, and manage hazards as needed.
