Generator Supercenter, Inc. in West Springfield, MA is hiring a dependable Generator Mechanic / Service Technician to join our growing team.

This field-based role involves traveling to residential sites to diagnose, maintain, and repair whole-home standby generators. Candidates should have 1+ years in generator service or small engine repair, read electrical diagrams, communicate clearly with customers, and be able to work independently in the field.

Competenze

• 1+ years of generator service, small engine repair, or related mechanical/electrical work.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.

Mansioni

• Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle.
• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generators.
• Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Clearly communicate with customers regarding services performed and any recommendations.
• Accurately document all work in our service management software.
• Follow safety protocols and industry best practices when working around electricity.
• Support emergency service calls during weather-related outages or storms, as needed.
