ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking a Work Planner/Forester to join our field teams in Schaumburg, IL. This role focuses on vegetation management, safety, and customer service, combining outdoor work with data collection using tablets and forestry software.

You will operate in diverse terrains, report hazards, and collaborate with leadership and clients to ensure high-quality service while advancing AMS safety culture.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard assessment.
• Ability to hike/drive for extended periods across ROWs.
• Familiarity with GIS and Microsoft Office; experience with iPhone.
• Must work well alone outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Drive to sites and hike rights-of-way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and forestry software.
• Communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors and the public.
