Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Work Planner/Forester to join our outdoor vegetation-management team in Illinois. You will plan field operations, monitor safety, and work independently or with a crew to inspect and document vegetation along rights-of-way.

The role requires GIS and data-entry skills, ability to hike long distances, and strong communication with clients and stakeholders; compensation includes a company vehicle, training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard tree assessment.
• Ability to hike ROWs and drive long distances.
• Experience with GIS and Microsoft Office; iPhone proficiency.
• Able to work outdoors alone in various weather.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and incidents.
• Follow safety standards and protocols.
• Promote values in daily actions.
• Drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at client properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry.
