ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking a Field Work Planner to join our outdoors-focused vegetation management team in Michigan. You’ll identify safety hazards, document vegetation, and drive to work sites while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role blends independent field work with collaboration with leadership, clients, and technicians. Applicants should have knowledge of tree species, GIS tools, and the ability to hike long distances in variable conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and understanding of tree growth patterns.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards, including safe driving and wildfire prevention.
• Promote AMS values in daily actions and encourage others to do the same.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and complaints regarding vegetation work promptly.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
