Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking Foresters to identify and assess trees along utility lines, and to plan and coordinate line-clearance crews. You will submit inspection results with recommendations to clients and liaise with customers.

The role requires self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in varied terrain and weather. GIS/Office skills and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science or related field, or equivalent experience with UVM background.
• High school diploma/GED allowed with 5 years UVM experience.
• Experience with GIS data collection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect and evaluate trees/brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results with recommendations to clients.
• Plan and coordinate activities of line clearance crews.
• Negotiate access issues for line-clearance crews.
• Act as liaison between clients, crews and customers.
