Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Forestry Specialist to perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines. This role plans and coordinates line clearance crews and acts as a liaison between clients, crews, and customers.

The position requires a forestry-related degree or equivalent experience, strong communication, and GIS familiarity. Travel and flexible schedules are common in this field.

Qualifications

• Two-year or four-year degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus two years of UVM experience.
• High school diploma/GED requirement can waived with 5 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned tree clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
• Serve as liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.
