Job summary

ArborMetrics in the United States seeks aConsulting Utility Forester to perform field patrols, vegetation management, and stakeholder engagement in energy corridor areas. You will assess trees, apply pruning standards, and document findings while ensuring safety and client compliance.

Requires forestry education or equivalent experience, GIS and MS Office proficiency, and a valid driver's license. Work is outdoor, often remote, with travel to multiple sites and potential storm response.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification.

Responsibilities

• Safely patrol energy corridors on foot and identify vegetation for pruning, removal or protection per Client standards.
• Classify prescribed work and apply ANSI line clearance standards & pruning techniques.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Coordinate with landowners and agencies to obtain permissions for vegetation work.
