Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our vegetation management team. You will conduct field patrols along energy corridors, assess vegetation, and implement pruning or removal per client standards while following safety protocols.

Requirements include forestry education or related experience, a valid driver’s license, GIS experience, and the ability to work outdoors in various conditions. We offer full benefits, ongoing training, and ISA certification support.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits; maintain accurate documentation.
• Review work sites for endangered species, sensitive habitats, and vegetation.
• Safely patrol energy corridors on foot; identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection per Client standards.
• Classify prescribed work per field environment and tree condition; include herbicide use.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per Client directives and ANSI line clearance standards.
