Qualifications

• Understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight not to exceed ~300 pounds due to equipment.
• Must be willing to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew from management orders.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safety practices per policy and OSHA standards; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruption, and work scope with property owners; refers complex cases to General Foreperson.
• Obtains permissions from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective work completion and conduct.
• May investigate minor damage claims and incidents; report generation.
• Maintains crew records, timesheets, and reports; tracks costs.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments for site safety.
• Sets up barriers, signs, and safety measures to protect workers and public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Keeps truck/work site clean; adheres to DOT maintenance/inspection requirements.
