Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is hiring a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and detection & control systems with minimal supervision. You will troubleshoot components, maintain safety programs, and document work orders for customers across multiple locations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years in fire life safety within suppression, and travel up to 90%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• State or any required certification, preferred.
• 2 Fire Life Safety Industry experience specifically within Fire Suppression.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and repair extinguishers, detection and control systems.
• Repair or replace components in pre-engineered suppression systems.
• Troubleshoot defective components in suppression systems.
• Communicate with customers and document work orders clearly.
• Use required tools and equipment for repairs and testing.
• Follow safety programs, SDS and company policies; participate in toolbox talks.
• Travel up to 90% and maintain company vehicle and mileage records.
