Job summary

Summit Fire & Security LLC is seeking inspectors to examine, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, pumps, and backflows with limited supervision. The role requires NFPA knowledge, safety adherence, and the ability to train others.

Candidates should have HS diploma and NICET/state certification based on location, and 3–5 years of inspection experience, with 5+ preferred. Strong English communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience inspecting fire protection systems required; 5+ years preferred.
• Must work well independently and in a team.
• Basic math, mechanical aptitude, problem solving, and customer service skills required.
• Ability to train other inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems per NFPA codes.
• Record and report deficiencies to SFS and customers.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Operate inspection tools (detectors, backflow, pumps).
• Plan and complete inspections as scheduled; may be on-call.
• Maintain company vehicle and tools; follow safety policies.
• Attend seminars to stay updated on technologies.
• Train inspector trainees in relevant topics.
