Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States seeks a Fire Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler, and Suppression life safety lines. This field-based role requires strong low-voltage knowledge, precise documentation, and the ability to keep a structured inspection schedule moving safely and on time.

You will work with low-voltage wiring, complete Service Acknowledgements, and provide guidance to trainees.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of low-voltage electrical and fire/life-safety experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on life-safety product lines.
• Work with low-voltage wiring and devices to operate equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding using laptop or paper.
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and complete inspections on time.
• Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documents via laptop or mobile.
• Provide technical guidance to less senior inspectors and trainees when needed.
