Job summary

Johnson Controls in Miami seeks Inspectors to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler, or Suppression life safety product lines. Work with low voltage wiring and document results using laptops or paper.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of experience with low voltage electrical systems and life safety, and NICET certification. Able to lift up to 50–70 lbs, climb ladders, and work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in low voltage electrical systems and life safety.
• NICET Certification.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Preferred: hand tools, multimeter usage; reading blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety lines.
• Perform testing, service and preventive maintenance.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop or paper.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to inspected systems.
• Provide technical training to junior inspectors.
