Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field-based technician to diagnose, service, and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at customer sites in Raleigh, NC. You will work with customers and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will read blueprints and manuals, follow troubleshooting procedures, and support UPS and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety guidelines and Mrs role-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at customer sites.
• Read, interpret, and apply blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, and manuals.
• Service, troubleshoot, and install Fire & Life Safety systems from multiple manufacturers.
• Provide quotes and upsell opportunities aligned with customer needs.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours service.
