Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision.

The role requires NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification, 2 years of Fire Life Safety experience, and the ability to travel up to 90% locally; a valid driver's license is required. Knowledge of different manufacturers and proper use of test equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• NICET or state-specific certification is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Fire Life Safety industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm, is required.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification is required.
• 2 years of professional computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems.
• Use tools and test equipment to repair or replace components.
• Program fire alarm systems and remove/replace components.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain documentation.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Travel locally up to 90% and maintain the company vehicle.
