Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service, and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision. You will use test equipment and Field Service Lightning, communicate with customers, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of fire life safety experience, NICET preferred, and proficiency with computer tools. Participation in ongoing training and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET or state certification preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience in Fire Alarm required.
• 2 years of professional computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems.
• Use test equipment to repair or replace components.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Maintain documentation on work orders and safety procedures.
• Attend seminars to stay updated on codes and technology.
• Train service technician trainees in fire protection.
