Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision.

Candidates should have NICET or state certification preferred, 2 years of fire life safety experience, and a valid driver's license. Travel up to 90% locally is required; the role involves outdoor work, lifting, and using testing equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification required or preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm.
• 2 years of professional computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision.
• Use tools and test equipment (multimeter, laptop, etc.) to repair components.
• Program and maintain fire alarm systems; troubleshoot faults including ground faults.
• Complete documentation on work orders and maintain safety standards.
