Job summary

Summit Fire Protection in Wisconsin is hiring a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision. The role requires NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification preferred, a High School Diploma, 2 years of Fire Life Safety experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Travel up to 20% and strong safety compliance are expected. You will use BI tools and Sage 300 CRE to document work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience in Fire Alarm.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• 2 years using business intelligence systems or Sage 300 CRE preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Occasional travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm components such as FACP and power supply.
• Install, service and repair fire alarm and security systems.
• Program and update fire alarm systems with various manufacturers.
• Safely follow procedures and document work orders.
• Communicate with customers and off‑site monitoring companies professionally.
• Maintain company vehicle and adhere to safety policies.
• Attend training to stay current with codes and standards.
