Job summary

Zito Media is seeking a full-time Fiber Technician to learn the trade of installing fiber optic cables within Zito Media’s fiber networks and related equipment to maximize operating efficiency.

Responsibilities include using standard tools to route cable, install equipment, and communicate effectively with customers and staff. The role requires willingness to work on-call, outdoors in all weather, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license with excellent driving record.
• Available for on-call and after-hours call out.
• Able to climb ladders up to 40 feet and carry up to 100 lbs multiple times daily.
• Willing to travel to other systems if needed.
• Sufficient visual and aural acuity to operate testing equipment.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

• Learn the trade of installing fiber optic cables within Zito Media networks.
• Install electronic equipment and route cable using standard tools.
• Communicate with customers and staff to ensure quality service.
• Adhere to safety practices while working at heights and outdoors.
