Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a field-splice technician to work on our fiber-to-the-premises network across multiple locations, including Dalton, GA. You will splice fiber optic and copper cables, maintain splice records, and ensure safety and quality standards on outdoor and indoor sites.

This role requires weekend/holiday availability and may involve substantial travel. The ideal candidate can read schematics, operate hand tools and test equipment, and comply with industry standards while

Qualifications

• Read, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams.
• Read and follow design engineers’ instructions and specifications.
• Maintain safety practices on outdoor/indoor worksites.

Responsibilities

• Splice cables using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment.
• Construct proper splice cases with grounding/bonding and slack storage.
• Prepare and maintain splicing records, schematics and diagrams.
• Interpret staking sheets and blueprints.
• Measure signal strength at poles using test equipment.
• Inspect lines or cables and record test results.
