Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. through its Kinetic unit is seeking a Splicer to join the construction team. The role involves splicing fiber optic and copper cables in outdoor and indoor settings, reading and maintaining splicing schematics, and overseeing outside plant activities at the work site.

Travel up to 50% may be required, with overtime and on-call duties as needed. Responsibilities include documenting routes, managing material inventory, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Splice fiber optic and copper cables per specs.
• Read and interpret splicing schematics and diagrams.
• Maintain safety procedures and DOT-related requirements.
• Meet travel and overtime expectations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Splice cables using hand tools and epoxy or mechanical equipment.
• Construct splice cases with grounding, bonding and sealing.
• Prepare and maintain splicing records and diagrams.
• Read staking sheets and blueprints and ensure alignment with design.
• Support project timelines and safety on site, including DOT checks.
