Job summary

GTS in Canton, GA with operations nationally is seeking a Fiber Splicer to terminate and test aerial and underground fiber optic networks. You will prep and splice fiber, maintain production sheets, time sheets, and customer paperwork, and ensure work complies with EIA/TIA standards and building codes.

The role requires proficiency with splice closures, OTDR testing, optical power meters, and fiber identifiers, plus strong communication with project owners and engineers.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Have a good driving record.
• Able to pass Background and Drug screening.
• Able to obtain DOT Medical Certification.

Responsibilities

• Terminate and test aerial and underground fiber optic systems.
• Prepare and splice fiber optic cable.
• Update and maintain project tracking information (production sheets, time sheets, customer paperwork).
• Familiar with fiber optic splice closures, OTDR testing, Optical power meter and Fiber Identifier.
