Job summary

Uniti Group seeks a field Splicer to join our construction team in Dalton, GA. You will splice fiber optic and copper cables, create and update splicing diagrams, and oversee outside plant activities.

Travel up to 50% may be required; safety, DOT compliance, and accurate record-keeping are essential. Role involves reading engineering drawings, maintaining splice records, and adapting to various weather and site conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work in varied environments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL.
• Ability to pass DOT certification pre-hire.

Responsibilities

• Splice cables using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment.
• Splice fiber optic and copper cables; construct splice cases with grounding and sealing.
• Read schematics, read staking sheets and blueprints, maintain splice records.
• Maintain safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain field notes, inspect and test lines, and manage on-site paperwork.
