Job summary

Project Resources Group, Inc. is seeking an outside plant expert to join as a route-based Construction Coordinator. You will drive an assigned fiber route, monitor 811 tickets, and respond to outages while keeping issues from escalating.

This field position requires reliability, strong map/ticket review, and clear communication with clients and homeowners. The role emphasizes outdoor work, extensive windshield time, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle with auto insurance meeting state requirements.
• Dependability: punctual, reliable, and able to complete assigned tasks.
• Attention to detail when reviewing tickets, maps, and prints.
• Comfort working independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions; prior outdoor experience is a plus.
• Physical ability to walk extensively, bend, sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of underground utilities and local dig laws is a plus.
• Strong customer service instincts and ability to communicate with clients and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily assignments and plan your route.
• Drive an assigned fiber route on a recurring basis with substantial windshield time.
• Visit and monitor existing fiber routes to spot risks.
• Review 811 locate tickets, maps, and prints to stay ahead of digging and construction activity.
• Provide first-level support for minor issues and mitigate potential failures.
• Log and record changes in infrastructure along the route.
• Respond to network outages as needed.
• Report to the field to verify quality and adherence of work performed.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
