Job summary

Project Resources Group is seeking an outside plant expert for a route-based Construction Coordinator role. You will be the eyes and ears on the ground for fiber networks, driving an assigned route and monitoring for issues to prevent outages.

This is ideal for you if you enjoy outdoors, driving, and solving field challenges rather than desk work. You will plan daily routes, handle windshield time, review tickets and maps, and communicate with customers, contractors and homeowners.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Able to drive routes with long windshield time.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to tickets, maps, and prints.
• Proactive in identifying and mitigating potential issues.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily assignments and plan routes.
• Drive assigned fiber routes with significant windshield time.
• Monitor existing fiber routes for any risk to the line.
• Review 811 locate tickets, maps and prints to stay ahead of digging activity.
• Log and escalate changes in infrastructure or conditions along the route.
• Report to field to verify quality and adherence of work within the SOW.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors and homeowners.
