Job summary

Beck's Superior Hybrids in Olivia, MN seeks a Practical Farm Research Intern for the May–August 2027 term. This paid internship provides hands-on experience across planting, data collection, plot identification, and production modules on the Beck’s PFR farm.

You will learn to set up and plant research studies, collect stand counts, map plots, and support agronomic production while housing options include furnished housing or a stipend. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate coursework in agricultural field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• This is a safety‑sensitive position.
• Chauffer license or equivalent may be required.
• Farm background helpful.

Responsibilities

• Planting Module: set up and plant research plots, organize seed, label plots.
• Data Collection and Thinning Module: collect and report stand counts; analyze treatments.
• Plot Identification Module: map test plots and identify varieties with signs and stakes.
• Production Module: support agronomic production and ride along with sales staff.
