Job summary

Beck's Hybrids is seeking a Practical Farm Research Intern in London, OH for a paid part-time internship from May through August 2027. You'll participate in multiple research learning modules at the PFR farm site, including planting, data collection, plot identification, and production support.

This role offers hands-on agronomy experience, exposure to field studies, and opportunities to work with the sales team on performance evaluation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate coursework in agriculture or related field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Planting Module: assist in setting up and planting research studies, organize seed, plant, clean units, and flag plots.
• Data Collection and Thinning Module: collect, report, and analyze stand count data; thin plots to desired populations.
• Plot Identification Module: help design, map, and identify varieties and technologies by numbering and placing signs.
• Production Module: provide agronomic support to sales staff and ride along on customer calls to evaluate product performance.
