Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Facilities Specialist to maintain restaurants via preventative maintenance, supervise facility aspects, and train staff. You’ll conduct monthly site visits, formulate maintenance schedules, and manage safety protocols to ensure reliable operations across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal or informal training on how to repair and maintain facilities; experience with restaurant equipment, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration or appliance repair preferred.
• BA/BS in related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Knowledge of facilities safety requirements and regulations.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple schedules for timely results.
• Effective, clear communication and training of facility maintenance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at market level.
• Perform facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants.
• Formulate preventative maintenance schedules for safe, efficient operation of restaurant facilities (equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).
• Carry out procedures if facilities cease functioning or pose health/safety risk.
• Train managers, crew and staff on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure staff follow maintenance practices and procedures consistently.
• Conduct maintenance seminars individually or in groups.
• Provide maintenance visit recaps to Operations Team and Regional Facilities Manager.
• Identify issues impacting M&R costs and communicate to leadership.
• Maintain and update facility records; perform regular repairs and emergency responses.
• Support new store turnover, 90-day and 1-year walks with Contractor and Ops Team.
• Serve as liaison between restaurants, landlords, contractors and vendors.
