Job summary

Public Storage is seeking a Facilities Manager I - Field to oversee capital projects and repair/maintenance across a multi-site portfolio. You will identify needs, develop scope, manage budgets, and drive value while protecting revenue and asset performance.

In this role you will coordinate with internal teams, architects, engineers, and contractors, travel frequently, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality targets with a focus on minimizing customer impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in facilities management or construction project management.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience supporting multi-site real estate portfolios preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, facilities mgmt., engineering, or related field preferred.
• Frequent travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and expense projects from discovery through closeout.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Drive on-time, on-budget delivery with quality standards.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead RFP development, bid evaluation, and vendor selection.
• Negotiate pricing and validate vendor performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to minimize customer impact.
