Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee is seeking an events support professional to assist a team of seasoned event managers in planning and executing high-profile field events, conferences, and experiential programs. You'll coordinate site visits, vendor research, travel, and on-site logistics, while helping manage timelines, budgets, and attendee experiences across a nationwide event portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business, marketing, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in events, hospitality, conferences, or marketing activations.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with event management platforms such as Cvent, project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and AI productivity tools preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 30-50% to support events across the United States.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during event execution periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds while assisting with event setup, execution, and breakdown on-site.

Responsabilités

• Plan and coordinate events with the Field Events Management team.
• Liaise between event managers and the Event Business Operations team to meet timelines for registration, app, housing, and shipping.
• Coordinate site selections and pre-planning visits, travel, venues, and agendas.
• Oversee event calendars, project plans, and inboxes; respond to attendee needs during live events.
• Create presentation decks and post-event analysis reports.
• Shadow event managers during meetings with association and partner leads.
• Contribute ideas for creative food, networking, and attendee engagement.
• Identify vendors and venues; manage outreach and proposals.
• Source branded items and manage swag and materials during events.
• Travel across the United States for setup, execution, teardown; maintain run-of-show docs.
• Ensure welcoming attendee experiences and assist attendees, vendors, stakeholders.
• Support budget tracking and vendor payments.
