Job summary

Mortenson in Minneapolis is seeking an Equipment Specialist to support project teams with equipment management, ordering, and fleet reporting. This role emphasizes building strong vendor and internal relationships and requires regular travel to project sites.

You will manage orders, source equipment, generate POs, reconcile invoices, and maintain inventory while collaborating with field teams. A proactive, detail-oriented candidate with strong communication skills will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 1+ years rental equipment or 2+ years related experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to travel 25-50% for project sites and vendors.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process equipment facility orders and returns per procedures.
• Source equipment internally and via 3rd party rental vendors.
• Generate purchase orders for equipment purchases and rentals.
• Reconcile billing of contracts, invoices, and work orders.
• Support electronic and physical inventory management.
• Lead Pre-Mob meetings with site leadership for startup planning.
• Lead monthly equipment review meetings with project and accounting teams.
• Coordinate DOT registration and respond to inquiries.
• Dispatch and schedule equipment deliveries and logistics planning.
