Job summary

VantagePoint Alliance LLC seeks an experienced Field Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance for a large industrial power generation project in Tennessee. The role oversees permitting, inspections, training, and EMS implementation across construction and execution phases to meet EPA and OSHA requirements.

You will coordinate with project teams, regulators, and subcontractors, maintain records, and deliver orientation programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of environmental compliance experience supporting industrial or power generation facilities.
• Experience with environmental permitting, environmental inspections, regulatory compliance, and environmental reporting.
• Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and applicable state environmental regulations.
• Experience in construction, commissioning, startup, or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance activities for a major industrial construction project.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Implement and maintain project environmental management plans and procedures.
• Support environmental permitting activities and ensure permit condition compliance.
• Conduct routine environmental inspections, field audits, and compliance assessments.
• Identify environmental risks and develop corrective actions for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with project management, construction teams, subcontractors, and regulators on environmental requirements.
• Maintain environmental documentation, inspection reports, regulatory records, and compliance logs.
• Assist with SWPPP/SPCC programs, waste management, air quality, erosion control, and other environmental programs.
• Investigate incidents and support corrective/preventive actions.
• Deliver environmental orientation and training for project personnel.
• Promote environmental stewardship and continuous improvement.
