Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) seeks an Environmental Construction Specialist to support electric utility construction projects in field settings. You will oversee environmental compliance, SWPPP/NPDES adherence, and site development activities while working outdoors and independently.

The role requires 1–5 years in site development/permitting, a relevant degree, and willingness to travel to various project sites. Strong public relations and safety focus are essential, with company vehicle and benefits

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field.
• 1–5 years’ experience in Site Development or utility construction permitting.
• Solid understanding of NPDES CGP SWPPP implementation and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance and construction oversight on transmission site development and linear transmission projects.
• Ensure permits are in place and field operations comply with environmental permits.
• Document pre- and post-work field conditions for compliance and mitigation.
• Conduct erosion and sediment control and stormwater inspections.
• Engage with the public to maintain safe, constructive relations and uphold safety culture.
