Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking an Environmental Compliance Coordinator to manage the environmental portion of the Distribution Transformer Inspection Program. The role blends office-based program management with field support and coordination of environmental compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2-8 years of experience in environmental management, inspections, waste management, spill response/remediation, reporting, or related work.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organization and the ability to be a self-starter and stay motivated.
• Database management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to travel regionally up to approximately 2.5–3.5 hours to locations within the assigned region, up to one day per week; overnight travel 1–3 nights per month.

Responsibilities

• Manage the environmental portion of the Distribution Transformer Inspection Program.
• Maintain spreadsheets and databases used to track transformer replacement and repair status when oil contamination or leaks are present.
• Coordinate with the Asset Management Team to support successful program rollouts across all districts.
• Track spend rates and manage budgets.
• Communicate with inspection contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely remediation of oil spills.
• Dispatch spill response vendors and document remediation activities when necessary.
