Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) seeks an Environmental Compliance Coordinator to manage the environmental portion of a large Distribution Transformer Inspection Program. The role blends office data management with field coordination and regulator reporting, supporting remediation efforts and program rollouts across multiple districts.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, data handling, and travel capability, with experience in SPCC/SWPPP, NPDES/VPDES, and PCB management.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2-8 years of experience in environmental management, inspections, waste management or spill response.
• Excellent communication skills and organization.
• Database management and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the environmental portion of the Distribution Transformer Inspection Program.
• Maintain spreadsheets and databases to track transformer status when oil contamination or leaks are present.
• Coordinate with Asset Management for program rollouts across 32 districts.
• Track spend rates and manage budgets.
• Communicate with inspection contractors to ensure timely remediation of oil spills.
• Report spills to internal teams and VADEQ when required.
• Approve or deny environmental containment while inspectors are in the field.
• Dispatch spill response vendors to remediate oil contamination.
• Document spill response measures and perform QA/QC of cleanup.
• Determine PCB vs non-PCB and manage PCBs per TSCA regulations.
