Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking an Environmental Construction Specialist to join our field team for Electric Utility Construction Projects. This role emphasizes environmental compliance during land clearing and linear construction, requiring independence and a proactive safety culture.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years in site development, SWPPP/NPDES experience, and a valid driver’s license. Candidates may travel to project sites and work outdoors in various conditions, with competitive pay and

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field.
• 1-5 years’ experience in Site Development work or permitting utility construction.
• Solid understanding of NPDES CGP SWPPP implementation and inspections.
• Certifications such as FSESCI, CESSWI, CEPSCI or comparable.
• Desire to work outdoors in varying weather and terrains.
• Strong public relations skills and ability to interact with the public.
• Willingness to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance oversight for transmission site development and linear transmission projects.
• Ensure SWPPP and related permits compliance and inspections.
• Manage field operations and maintain relations with the public.
• Oversee site development crews and BMP measures.
• Coordinate with project management and client communications.
• Assist in ROW maintenance recommendations.
