Job summary

ArborMetrics (AMS) is seeking an Environmental Construction Specialist to support Electric Utility Construction Projects in an outdoor field setting. Flexibility, independent work, and adherence to safety are essential as you manage environmental compliance for land clearing and linear construction.

You will ensure permits and environmental regulations are followed, oversee field crews, and engage with the public while contributing to safety and training programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Environmental Science, Construction Management or related field.
• 1–5 years’ experience in Site Development, permitting utility construction.
• Solid understanding of NPDES CGP SWPPP implementation and inspections.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather and terrains.
• Strong public relations skills and ability to interface with the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide Environmental Compliance and field oversight on transmission Site Development projects.
• Ensure permits and environmental regulations are followed and sites are compliant.
• Manage site development crews and oversee BMP contractors.
• Communicate with utility clients, landowners, and the public.
