Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist to travel, perform on-site repair and installation for Roche product lines, and provide technical service to laboratory customers within the assigned territory. You will diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures, document all activities, and contribute to quality improvements to maximize customer satisfaction.

A high school diploma with technical training or a related bachelor’s degree plus experience is required, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience are required.
• 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience will suffice.
• Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy is mandatory.
• The ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Travel and showcase expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.
• Offer valuable service to laboratory customers in the assigned territory.
• Involve in routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
• Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
