Job summary

Roche seeks a Field Engineering Specialist to travel and install, repair, and support Roche products in laboratory environments. You will diagnose and fix mechanical, hardware, software, and network issues, provide preventive maintenance, and document all activities to improve quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires significant travel, including overnight trips, and a strong customer‑facing focus. Location is field-based in the United States with relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience are required.
• 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience will suffice.
• Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy is mandatory.
• The ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Travel and showcase expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.
• Provide service to laboratory customers in your territory.
• Perform routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
• Act as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Document activities, contribute to quality improvement, and maximize customer satisfaction.
