Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to join our Field Operations team. You will assist in interpreting drawings, performing takeoffs, and supporting field and office engineering tasks across geotechnical projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a construction-related field, willingness to travel nationwide, and strong communication skills. Base compensation ranges with full benefits accompany opportunities to grow within a leading construction firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (civil engineering, mining, mechanical, geotechnical, construction management)
• Strong desire to work in underground construction
• Willingness to travel and relocate nationwide
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven teamwork and independent work capabilities

Responsibilities

• Field Engineering: interpret drawings and specs for field crews; perform quantity takeoffs; assist in work plans and field surveying.
• Office Engineering: support field ops with data, drafting, submittals, and purchasing; manage project records and RFIs.
• Estimating: analyze historical data; perform plan/spec reviews; execute material takeoffs for bids.

Education
