Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer in the Transportation market. This role supports field operations, drafting, surveying, cost data, and safety protocols while gaining exposure to underground and foundation projects across North America.

You'll collaborate with Field and Office teams, perform takeoffs, assist with plans, and help coordinate crews. Willingness to travel/relocate and strong work ethic are essential for success in this national-scale contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or engineering.
• Previous experience in construction or mining is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and relocate throughout career as operations span North America.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in field interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and measure completed/installed work.
• Assist in preparation of work plans and packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support including elevation and control points.
• Assist in daily labor timesheet processing and JHA preparation.
• Support underground tunneling and construction operations with problem-solving.
