Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to support field teams with drawings, measurements, and project administration across transportation-focused underground and foundation projects. You will assist in field engineering, office engineering, and estimating, participate in safety reviews, and help manage daily reports, RFIs, and cost data while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (civil engineering, mining, mechanical, geotechnical, construction management) required.
Previous construction or mining experience preferred.
Willingness to travel and relocate across the country.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team.
Proficiency with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
Perform quantity takeoffs and measurement calculations.
Assist in preparation of work plans and packages.
Support field surveying and layout, including elevations and control points.
Assist in daily labor timekeeping, JHA preparation, and safety reviews.
Assist in cost tracking, RFIs, and submittals for the Project Manager.
Support in estimating tasks, bid documentation, and plan/spec reviews.
