Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to support utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects across the United States. The role links engineering, construction, quality, and project management to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.

The position is site-based with daily per diem and home rotations about every 3–4 weeks, requiring strong problem-solving skills, field presence, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience in field engineering or construction support roles.
• Experience creating and maintaining project reports and documentation.
• Ability to work against deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction teams, engineering partners, subcontractors, owners, and regulators to support project execution.
• Support FAIs and verify work against drawings, specs, and project requirements; manage field docs.
• Generate and track RFIs to minimize schedule impacts.
• Review submittals and construction docs for compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating construction risks and execution challenges.
• Monitor subcontractors and self-perform scope to drive quality and safety.
• Coordinate inspections with AHJs and project stakeholders; support drone-based progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with management to improve communication and project outcomes.
